How does the Gilead Programme work?
The Programme is contained in four books, together with an introductory Student's Guide. This guide gives important helps to study methods, suggests other helps to Bible study, and is an essential part of the Programme. Each book contains 12 to 14 studies, and to get the maximum benefit from them, we recommend that you aim to complete the Programme within about two years.
Each study involves reading the study notes and the set part of the Bible, preparing a brief outline and looking up certain points in the Bible Handbook. Further topics for study or meditation are suggested, but these are extra to the Programme proper.
With each study there is an assignment, which you should complete. This is a self-test to check that you have grasped the main ideas of the study.
The Programme encourages Bible memorization, explains how to set about this, and is not specifically linked to any one study.Top^
What sort of personal help will I receive?
(1) At all stages, your questions on any part of the studies will be welcomed. The Programme is not a business. It is a Christian ministry, and we encourage you to look upon us as friends as well as tutors.
(2) You have easy access to your tutor by Email, mail, telephone, or even in person by appointment.
(3) All your written assignments will be returned to you with your tutor's full comments.
(4) If necessary, the Programme may be tailored (within reason) to suit your circumstances (e.g.time limitations). You should aim to complete the Programme as it stands, but we are not rigid in this. We will gladly discuss your problem with you.Top^
